Not got the multimedia system but noticed on the Ambience system - it has a 10 minute auto cut out if ignition is off - guess good to save battery life.

 

Did you hit the dark button by accident?

Mine froze once and would not work at all, turned of the car for 10 mins and it worked fine again, didn't know it had anything but a off button

 

That happened to me once - I pressed the "Dark" button and the screen went blank apart from a button in the bottom right corner showing the radio station I was listening to. After an initial panic moment, I pressed the radio station button, and the screen returned to normal.

I have also just updated the unit with UK 2013 Q2 map, as latest map guarantee still in force.

I have had no problem with radio etc until today was working fine then on a trip out lost all my radio settings and the clock went to a totally different time which it won't let me alter anyone else had a similar problem.

 

anyone know how to check what version of map you have on media nav ???

when driving at night u might be attracted to the light of the screen

hence it has this function for night driving nothing to worry about

 

update on sat nav problem booked car back into dealers they put a patch on to fix problem obviously Dacia new there was a problem I'm just wondering when cars out of warrantee will I have to pay for these updates on it?

 

had a problem on mine woke up one morning had went dark, got it back on everything reset itself. press map or navi and wouldn't go past the caution page.... hence sat nav had been wiped. took it to the dealer got a courtesy car for the day. while they reset it all back to normall FOR NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

My media system went into switch on and off mode yesterday. The radio works for about a minute then switches itself off, reboots and starts working again at the same time you cannot use the sat nav or my usb stick with music on. I cannot switch the unit off manually as the unit on/off button doesn't work. Turning the ignition off and off again does not reboot it. I'm taking the car into my local dealer today and I will post any relevant fixes or whether it needs a new media unit.

 

I took my car into local Dacia garage and after 4 hours I got the call that it needed a new media head unit that was the good news, I was then told that if I was in France it would be here within a week.But here the head unit was on back order and that they would let me know if or when the new media head unit would arrive. I waited for 2 weeks and then I got a call it could be the second or third week in June when it should arrive, that will be approximately 8 weeks. Hopefully it will arrive then.

New Media Media Head Unit fitted last week after waiting 8 weeks for a replacement. It was fitted as they said in about an about 1.5 hours. I don't know if it has the latest upgrade to new v4.03 software as yet but I will check it out this week. Are people still having problems with the software showing camera readings in Kms instead of miles.

since the software update.

 

I bought my Stepway at the end of March. The Media/Satnav worked fine for a couple of weeks. Since then I have been in a constant battle with Renault/Dacia to get it fixed. It has taken a letter to the Managing Director, a Mr Ken Ramirez, to get some action. It still isn't fixed though. It's going into the dealers on Thursday to be connected to a computer for the 2nd time. I would not buy or recomend anyone to buy from Renault/Dacia in the future even though I love the rest of the car. Their "customer service" is appalling.

I totally agree, I absolutely love my Diesel Stepway delivered in November but the Media Nav failed on 20th Jan of this year and was eventually replaced on 20th June. Simply not good enough.

hi all new to this forum

bought my duster eight months ago first problem was stuttering found to be a blocked injector fixed on warranty then had a knocking turning left found to be a joint ? then on the radio {media} the font screen is pixelated but not when you put radio or satnav on just front clock screen ? and to top this off knocking turning right now 14 plate duster

 

Hi all i have a stepway 2014 model my radio will not store station's and when i tune into a station and turn the engine off the media system resets back to factory settings.
Tried downloading the toolbox on dacia website but when i try to download off usb stick it keeps coming up Update Invalid.
Do i need to download Maps to fix problem.
Any Idea's please
